The DETC (Distance Education and Training Council) is a non profit association located in Washington DC that serves as a clearinghouse of information about the distance study/correspondence field and sponsors a nationally (US) recognized accrediting agency called the Accrediting Commission of the distance Education and Training Council. In 1998, it realized a Distance Education survey on the perception of the value of the distance education programs ("Graduates and employees evaluate their worth"). The Minesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory is a self reporting questionnaire with hundreds of questions such as " How do you feel about health and your past illnesses ?
